For US pharmacies, your prescription is transmitted electronically via the NCPDP SCRIPT standard to CVS, Walgreens, GoodRx, and Walmart Pharmacy before you even receive your WhatsApp message.
Every prescription is automatically checked against the DrugBank API for drug-drug interactions and against your documented allergies before issuance. Any conflict blocks the prescription and alerts the doctor.
Schedule II controlled substances (opioids, stimulants) are blocked from telehealth prescribing in compliance with the DEA Ryan Haight Act. Your doctor will suggest appropriate alternatives.
